I Want Festival
On November, 7 and 8, 2011, at Circo Voador (Rio de Janeiro – RJ), “I want a festival” was the event resulting from yhe partnership between Farm and We Want collective. The line-up included four international attractions: on the first Day, Beady Eye, Liam Galather’s new band, with opening sets by Driving Music and Holger on the outdoors stage; on the second Day it was Broken Social Scene’s turn, Toro Y Moi and Bombay Bicycle Club.
We Want collective, formed by Five carioca friends, is a cross-funding endeavor, sort of “split” that raises the necessary amount to bring a band to Brazil and refunds the participants according to Box Office Sales. In “I want festival” case, Farm supported the initiative securing half of the necessary amount for the shows to happen. Not by chance has the festival been christened so, once the summer collection of the carioca brand is also called “I want festival”, being totally inspired by music festivals that happen all over the world.
Inova.tv was invited to do a different kind of projection: to think about a structure that could deconstruct Circo Voador’s actual ambiance, at the same time taking the audience to an almost immersive experience. The solution designed was to build up a corridor with porch of 6m height x 8m large x 5,5 m depth, with projections on all its faces: 360°!
